Not what you would cat food as the very first ingredient is corn. This is followed by animal by-products. This is followed by more corn, wheat and soybean. They have added an artificial food colour as well to give it a good look to the uninformed buyer.
9 Lives is cheap catfood and I don’t think they hide the fact that it was made to sell for the consumer and does not take into account the health of the animal as there is very little animal protein in the food and the artificial colours is more for advertising than animal care or nutrition.
If you are considering buying this for your cat as this is what is in your budget then do a ration rather that to feed the cat this food. Buy this with a better product such as Wellness Core cat food and mix it into the cats eating bowl. Give the cat 8 portions of 9 Lives and 2 portions of Wellness Core. In this way it will still fit into your budget in the long run. You certainly cannot feed your cat this food without balancing it out.
What’s good about this food
There is nothing good about this food and I would not buy it. As stated above I would buy this as part of a diet by mixing it with something better. As stated it best to buy 8 bags of this and 2 bags of something much better if you are on a very tight budget.
