Eukanuba comes from the founders of Iams and this would be their premium dog food on the market. It sets the food apart from the rest fo the dog food and cat food from Iams. This is how they decided to market the dog food for their premium dog food.
You only need to flip to the side of the bag to notice the ingredients to know that all is not well considering the price of the food.
The first and main ingredient is chicken which is a good start and from there it simply goes further downhill .
The next main ingredient is chicken by-product which is cheap left overs from the chicken slaughter. There is an article on this website about by-products compared to the real thing.
Next is corn more corn some lamb and brewers rice. When I see brewers rice I normally consider it to be a bottom or mid-range product as broken rice is cheap and contains nothing other than carbohydrates. There is fishoil added in smaller amounts however this is in essence a grain product. If you have a dog with allergies then this product is not for you.
What’s good about this food.
Its rather pricey consider what it contains. Its a mid-range product which would suit most peoples pockets. Very basic and very average.
