Iams Healthy Naturals

Iams Healthy Naturals is another product out of the Iams range of dog-food. The main ingredient is chicken but this is not chicken meal which means by weight it is still 70% water going in as the weight gets lost during the manufacturing process.

This is another product unfortunately that comes with by-products which I personally do not like. Chicken by products excludes heads, feather and feet but everything else in-between. The amino acids levels are not the same as the real product.

The by-product is the second item on the list meaning it is the next in terms of weight and composition of the food. There are loads of brewers rice and brewers yeast and for a product in this price range I would have expected something much better. Corn has also been included as that is not good for digestion but it is more likely to make a solid stool which makes it easier to clean.

Good Points:

None really and I actually think its not to far off from the other product which they offer being Iams (Lamb and Rice) which is also listed here. The pet food overall is better than your standard Costco petfood by far but they need to work on their price range as these are middle of the road pet foods at a premium price.
