Kirkland puts out high end products which is strange as they only sell via Costco which has a bad reputation for pet products considering their own brand name junk. This Super Premium Kirkland dog food is not in the top end of the dog food market but it is not half bad considering the price.
Yes its cheap and it no doubt one of your best buys from Costco. There are some cheap additions to its ingredients but lets face it for the price it could have been far worst. At least you are getting value for your money and a good and decent meal for your dog.
Its not a grain free product but at the price it never will be. The main ingredient by weight is lamb followed by lamb meal aka concentrated lamb without the water. It does make use of white rice which is carbohydrate but nothing more than that. Flaxseed is added for fatty acids and this is good. Overall for the price is is a very good products with very little downside.
There are no by-products in the dog food which is a major plus. There is a good balance of vegetable and fruit with added fish meal. Best of all its cheap!
